Rant I
Well, I think I finally reached my limit for female-fronted metal…After awhile, it all starts sounding the same. Quite…disappointing, I must say. There isn’t very much variety. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be head-banging to Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, and the gang. It’s just that…I want something different. It seems like all I listen to anymore is female-fronted metal. Or female-fronted industrial. Or female-fronted electronica. I need something new. Hell, I’ve gotten so desperate that I’ve actually pulled out a lot of my old J-pop songs…lol
So what exactly are you looking for, not female fronted or just not one of the usual genres? Dream Theater is a good…scratch that…an amazing metal band with a male singer, if you’d be interested in something like that. As far as female fronted bands go, there’s really no place left to look, except going towards pop
. I do agree that a lot of female fronted metal can start to sounds the same after a while, that’s why a try to keep a good variety of stuff playing, though it still can get a little repetitious.
